Ad Benchmarks Redesign

Redesigning a dashboard to have clearer data hierarchy and intuitive filters, making comparing key metrics and access important features effortless.

Project Brief

Make it easier for planners, coordinators, project managers, sellers within the ad department to retrieve and understand aggregate ad benchmark metrics in order to propose the best ad formats to use and promote the usage of NYT’s proprietary ad products. While there was valuable information on ad benchmarks, the previous data format was confusing to understand and prevented people from being able to identify the metrics they need accurately or quickly.

Impact

The redesign of this section of Kaleidoscope made the interface more intuitive and faster to use.

Controls for each slide and type of data shown are located in the sidebar so the user can select exactly the type of narrative they want to construct. When they are finished, they can click "Export to Slides" to create a matching presentation deck.
