Project Brief
The project aims to design a top ad experience for non-subscribers on mobile web articles to boost revenue, while minimizing impact on user experience, subscriptions, and web performance. It will explore alternative ad formats and ensure compliance with Core Web Vitals, balancing monetization with a seamless, non-intrusive reading experience. A/B testing will be used to refine the solution for optimal results.
Impact
The experiment achieved impressive results, driving over $2.2M in total programmatic revenue to date. Key ad metrics saw significant positive impacts, with ad requests, impressions, and viewable impressions all increasing. This was all with a minimal bounce rate below the benchmark of 2%, and showed no negative impact on overall engagement metrics, underscoring its positive user experience. Overall, the experiment not only met revenue expectations but also contributed to a stronger user engagement and performance across critical metrics.
